Exodus 21:7
"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are." (NLT)
Exodus 35:2
"You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the LORD. Anyone who works on that day must be put to death." (NLT)
Leviticus 11:7-8
"And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you." (NLT)
His point is, if Christians no longer insist on the enforcement of these laws then why do they make such a big deal about others, namely:
Leviticus 18:22
"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." (NLT)
I'm going to think these over for a while, bury my head in some books and get back to you with the best un-anachronistic explanation I can find. No promises.
